Dive Urgency Demo Reel (work in progress)
Client: Dive Urgency Multimedia, LLC
Format: Broadband Only - 25.6 mb Quicktime

This work is still under way and only represents 2 of 4 mins. It should be completed shortly. It's unfortunate, but I can only work on this in "drips and drabs". Soundtrack was composed specifically for Dive Urgency Multimedia, LLC by Cori Jacobs - MasterFader Music: www.themasterfader.com

Animatic of 24 Marker Renderings - Storyboard for AVSC project, funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
Client: Big Ripple Multimedia, Inc.
Format: 7.5 mb Quicktime

While freelancing for Big Ripple Multimedia, Inc, I created a 24 frame sequence of marker renderings for use as a storyboard during a presentation to AVSC International (Access to Voluntary and Safe Contraception). AVSC International had asked Big ripple to create an informational and interactive CD-rom to help 3rd world medical staff learn safer ways to handle their patients and ultimately follow best of breed practices in avoiding the spread of infectious diseases. The project was funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The core idea here was to show an abstracted representation depicting one infected group of cells interacting with a transitional party, and ultimately infecting another group of cells cyclically. The final version was completed and revised by Big Ripple Multimedia, Inc. and was much different than what appears in the QT storyboard I created. The case study for the entire project can be seen here: http://www.bigripple.com/cpgCaseStudies.cfm

  "Trippy Shapes" LCD Animation Loop
Client: Myron Manufacturing Corp.
Project: LCD graphics for a digital clock.

This was a unique opportunity to create graphics for an LCD. Here the idea was to create an interesting dial pattern that would animate and seemingly revolve as each second passed on a digital clock. The challenge with this particular LCD animation
was that no 2 shapes could really ever cross each other, it was more of each element needing to syncronize an on and off state in order to simulate the revolving motion. The gradient in the background was simply inserted into the final clock behind the LCD screen (which is transparent).

Kick Across Desk
Technique Tested: Camera and Video matching, Motion Capture
Format: 376k Quicktime

This was my first test of video matching made years ago, and was made completely on the fly and with little thought. Well worth the experience, I will never make the same measuring and thoughless mistakes in this particular arena again. The clip is short because the seconds before and after had the model way out in outer space, due to an insufficient number of tracking points. In my eyes, this test was a success nonetheless. There is more to come.
