  3D Video Game - Regatta
Client: Confidential
Agency: Dive Urgency Multimedia, LLC

Creation and animation of 3D video game elements and environment. This multi-player game was used to attract booth attendance for a trade show in February 2004. The final game was developed in Flash and involved 4 game stations that resembled yacth consoles. All stations linked to a fifth computer with a "blimp cam view" providing an overhead view of the race for anyone visiting the booth. The production time was less than 2 months. All the ActionScripting was handled by the programmer responsible for creating the game.

    Movie Production Co. Intro
Client: Centoducati Productions
Agency: Dive Urgency Multimedia, LLC

Asked to create a black and white 3D animated intro for an Independent film company's black and white movie. The idea was to have a helmet make its way through a set of clouds and become an element of a crest on a shield that would park as the logo came on screen. The animation was on its way to completetion, but was cancelled during production.

enLeague - V3 Real Time Intergration Strategy
Client: Big Ripple Multimedia, Inc.
Agency: Dive Urgency Multimedia, LLC

This set of 3D imagery was meant to be used as a chart to depict the different tiers of data management in a particular enLeague model for online use. The models were based off of an existing chart. The idea was to play with iconography in order help the user understand the differences in tiers, not just to differentiate the tiers based on shapes. The first model I built used detailed models, reflections, transparencies, and beveled edges
to depict the 3 levels. This was ultimately thought to be too confusing, so a 2nd model was made. This time we were instructed to revert back to the original image and simply update the look while keeping it orthographic. The final design on the enLeague website was built by Big Ripple, not Dive Urgency. I show these models as an example of the sorts of designs that can be used to replace often times boring charts and graphs created without the use of 3D software or any true design sensitivity.

  Sea-Bond Prototype
Client: Combe, Inc
Employee: Mac Desktop Specialist

This was composited using Infini-D, After Effects
, Photoshop, and Illustrator. The glass material was especially difficult to make. The "powder" coming off of the spoon is actually a waterfall. The final image was cropped in a way that didn't reveal the "floating" spoon in the reflection of the tiles.

  X-Ray Scanner
Client: FujiFilm, Inc
Agency: MR&MH Advertising Agency, Ltd.

There were 2 different style scanners I was being asked to create. Unfortunately there was no reference for me to use and I was not able to actually see the scanner. I had to visualize it based on a conference call and a some sketches and a few small pics from a cataloge for a different set of scanners altogether.

"Beige Globe 2005 " 3D Lenticular Calendar Book Cover
Client: Myron Manufacturing, Corp.
Agency: Dive Urgency Multimedia, LLC

Asked to re-design, re-interpret, and customize a pre-existing image for use with "lenticular" printing.

The goal was to a create an entirely new piece of artwork based on a royalty free stock image. The nature of the original piece was so composited that I actually needed to recreate all of the elements from scratch. This meant creating various objects in 3D programs and taking photos of others, then somewhat matching color, size, lighting, fonts, textures, etc. I managed to retain all of the succesful qualities inherent in the original work, yet I was still able to "tweak" it enough with subtleties and include all of the clients changes, as well as alter the design from the original. Ultimately, I needed to do this in order to be able to separate the many different, often times transparent elements in the proposed image. The result was a completely customized 8 layer caledar booklet cover that was to be printed in the 3D "lenticular" process.

In this particular case the theme is one that tells the story of how different elements in the "Global Economy" come together in their various layers and shades. The globe is the international focal point, with elements representing time and money arranged in different layers on different 3 dimensional planes. The application of this lenticular print is designed to be used as the cover image of a pocket or desk diary, distributed worldwide by Myron Corporation and The Adler Group. The 3D effect is accomplished using carefully structured layering.

The 3D effect occurs when the artwork is tilted and will not be shown in this example, but the 8 layers were set up with more than one element per layer and so the 3D effect occurs with all the objects in the image while minimizing the number of layers in total. This was extremely challenging and the end result was a complete success. I have included the original stock image (provided by the client) for comparisson purposes to the final book cover. If you look close enough you will see all of the differences in fonts, textures, reflections, postions, and lighting.

    Just For Men Brochure
Company: Combe, Inc.
Employee: Mac Desktop Specialist

This brochure was a full up mock up to show the photographer how to shoot the newly redesigned JFM packs for this particular shot. I built the packs, chrome backdrop, atmospherics, and point of purchase in 3D using Infini-D 4.5 on a Mac and the final brochure looked identical. The graphs were all built using Illustrator.
